FAQs

How much notice do we have to give to the HSE if we want to legally marry in Ireland?

You have to give three months’ notice of intention to marry to the Civil Registration Office Register Office. Here is a really useful website that will tell you all about the legal necessities https://www2.hse.ie/services/births-deaths-and-marriages/getting-married/

How long does a wedding ceremony typically last?

Our ceremonies last between 30-45 minutes – it all depends on how much we include.  Every minute counts for something though.

Who has final say on a Ceremony?

Always my clients.  Any ceremony, be it wedding, baby naming vow renewal or end of life is put together alongside you and nothing will be delivered without your final approval.

What is a solemniser?

A wedding solemniser is a person licensed to conduct weddings in Ireland. Anybody performing a civil, secular or religious wedding must be listed with the General Register Office.

Can you travel nationwide?

Absolutely.  I am based in Dublin but work all over Ireland.
